Martians and Venusians
Last night Brian started reading to me parts of a book by John Gray called Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. It sure gave us a few laughs because we could see ourselves in there! LOL So funny how men and women think so differently from one another. And funny to see that our “issues” like when to empty the trash. . . heh, is not unique to our relationship. It’s common enough that it’s “printed” in a book! LOL Anyway, what I was thinking was that I know that the book is primarily directed to men and women relationships like marriages, but really it could extend out to just men and women dealing with each other daily even as just friends. I recommend that book to anyone interested in understanding how to deal with the opposite sex. I think it helps us have a better appreciation for one another. And in retrospect, I can understand better now how Brian and I dealt differently with my illness when things looked very bleak. It really helps to put things into perspective and to avert unnecessary arguments caused by just simple misunderstandings.
