It is a sort of mock statement: "anti-abortionists want to save a child and kill an abortion doctor." The statement, of course, implies that their is a contradiction between the anti-abortionist's value of life and her attitude towards the "doctor." This is an underhanded attack which intentionally smudges the issue. An unborn child is innocent of wrongdoing, while the abortion practitioner is a murderer. When I hear this sort of comment, I can't help but think that these pro-abortionists' logic would have, if equally applied, granted amnesty to the Nazis during the Nuremberg Trials.
